Academic Curriculum

We understand the tremendous impact that teachers have on a child’s growth, development, and personality. To provide our students with an environment in which they can learn uninhibitedly, our teaching community comprises of a diverse team of educators with extensive practical experience. All faculty members are equipped with professional teaching qualifications and have a deep understanding of their subjects and the curricula offered. The faculty at IBA PSS receives regular in-house training to enhance their skills. They also periodically attend training sessions arranged by CIE and other reputed institutions like British Council and Aga Khan University Examination Board to embrace new methodologies of teaching and use them to enhance the overall teaching-learning experience.

Keeping in view the holistic development of the child’s crucial growing years in ECE, the focus is given on key learning areas highlighted in National Curriculum. Children are encouraged to explore and nurture their potential in the areas of language and literacy, basic mathematical concepts and numeracy, world around us, health and hygiene and creative arts.

In the junior years the children are facilitated with the opportunities to construct their learning in such a way that they start asking higher order questions, thinking critically and believing in their capabilities to become independent life-long learners. While in the middle years curriculum delve into deeper content knowledge in the areas of mathematics, general science, social science, languages and computer education. The project based learning, group discussions are focused during these years.

IBA PSS offers students a choice between Cambridge International Examination (CIE) and Aga Khan University Examination Board (AKUEB) at the secondary and higher secondary levels.
