Aga Khan University Examination Board (AKU-EB) Section
IBA Public School Sukkur introduced AKUEB system in the school in August, 2014. AKUEB is based on three aspects:
Knowledge based
Application based
Understanding based
Practical assessment, Reading assessment, writing assessment and listening assessment are the main components of AKUEB.
To maintain the highest level of integrity and transparency during the assessment and result processes, AKU-EB uses a seeding process and exclusive e-marking software. These processes not only maintain the anonymity of students to the e-markers, but also preserve the maximum level of transparency which empowers students to achieve what they truly deserve.
If students are not satisfied with their results, there is a facility of rechecking of papers provided to the students in AKUEB.
Learning Support Materials are supplementary services offered by AKU-EB to assist students. These resources include past papers for all subjects, anthologies for Urdu Compulsory, Urdu Asaan and English Literature subjects, a guide for SSC I English Compulsory, resource lists and concept maps for ten subjects, and a command words guide.
AKU-EB qualifications are based on the national curriculum, with a focus on modern perspectives of teaching and learning. AKU-EB teachers participate in a wide variety of professional development opportunities to constantly update their knowledge and share their expertise AKU-EB qualifications are aimed at promoting active learning process with a focus on investigation and application of knowledge. AKU-EB works closely with selected publishers to offer appropriate text books and learning material for students. The Examination is monitored by CC TV Cameras Exclusively by AKU EB Karachi
AKUEB Examination Schedule
May Examinations are held as the Yearly Final Examinations.
The Schedule for the examination is provided one to two months prior to the examinations
The marks break up and paper scheme is provided in the SLOs
September Examinations
AKUEB takes September examinations as a part of improvement for the students
The students can attempt the examinations if:
They have failed in a certain subject
They wish to re-appear and increase their marks
Conceptual & Practical Based Learning
Students perform practical in highly equipped science laboratories.
Science projects also carried out that are completed by the students.
Science Practicalto be equally performed along with theory
AKU-EB teaching learning is based on conceptual learning as it discourages rote learning.
Students are encouraged to think out of the box and to be creative & innovative.

Read Theory (www.readtheory.org) is used by the students as a tool to enhance English Reading and Writing Skills
